Email marketing starts with your email list. What is a list? It’s short for an email marketing list or email autoresponder list. These email ids are the contact information of the people who have visited your website or bought something from you by filling up their details including their email id.
You can sign up for any email marketing platforms online and you can start building, maintaining and nurturing your lists.
Popular platforms are – Get Response, Aweber, MailJet, Mail Chimp, SendinBlue. I use the last one.
Writing Compelling Headlines
Always, remember, the purpose of the subject or the headline of an email is to make your email opened by your prospect or a customer. It is not to sell anything.
You need to make your subject catchy and creative. Something like this – ‘This Hopeless Poor Turned Into a Self-Made Millionaire Within 6 Months’. Isn’t this email headline catchy and forces people to open the email?
Check this one too – ‘Don’t Let Your Wife Know You Have Seen This!‘ If you are a husband, will you resist not opening such an email?
As you will move forward in selling and marketing your products and services to your email lists, remember always that you have to give value to people, in that way you will see results faster. Also, model the emails of successful marketers, observe and study what they write.
